The clocks have gone back and here in Liverpool we”ve survived a giant spider invading the city centre and been highly entertained by the many delights of the latest biennial festival (including another giant spider – this one safely attached to its web though…) Back in the world of work AFTA Thought have just completed an event with CSIP exploring the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards in the Mental Capacity Act. We”re looking forward to delivering joint work in this area in the New Year, alongside local solicitors Hill Dickinson here in Liverpool.

We were also delighted to attend the launch of the DVD commissioned for training care co-ordinators in Lancashire. Mental Health Carers Assessments was steered by the PCT and the local carers forum, and we hope that it helps to make a real difference for everyone in the future.

Along with our popular Safeguarding Adults, Diversity, and Recruitment & Selection work upcoming jobs include a conference for the Ulster Chemists Association and working with schools parliaments to look at what is being done to tackle homophobic bullying in schools.
