A powerful 14-minute training film
On 27th October 2025, Awaab’s Law comes into force. This landmark legislation is not just about compliance, it is about culture. It asks every housing professional to listen differently, act with urgency, and put empathy and accountability at the heart of their practice.
The full film follows a tenant’s journey across the housing system, highlighting key organisational touchpoints, from call centre to reception, repairs to management. It shows:
· The risks when complaints are minimised or dismissed.
· The dangers of “painting over” problems rather than solving them.
· The absence of safeguarding when vital questions go unasked.
· The transformation when staff demonstrate empathy, professional curiosity, and care.
The journey concludes with the tenant’s voice, describing the pain of being ignored and the relief of being heard. For staff, it makes clear: what we do, and how we do it, can be lifesaving.
