MANAGING PEOPLE EFFECTIVELY

The need for strong management skills within health and social care organisations has never been more important.

AFTA Thought has developed a unique interactive workshop to provide effective Managing People Effectively training for line managers whose teams have diverse experience and skill levels and who work in constantly changing conditions.

We use drama and discussion to explore real situations and address the approaches required when day to day management decisions are combined with the sensitive issues and difficult environments faced by many Health and Social Care staff.

Sessions are designed to enhance knowledge and confidence in a range of areas including:

Dealing with absences and lateness
Resolving conflict situations and avoiding tribunals
Following disciplinary procedures
Recognising inappropriate management styles

AFTA Thought works with a wide range of Health and Social Care organisations and agencies as well as Local Authorities and the Voluntary & Independent sector.

Our sessions are highly cost-effective and can be delivered to groups of between 10 and 200. We can also deliver training as part of conference programmes or special events.
