Independent Custody Visitors Advanced Training Day

Independent Custody Visitors Advanced Training Day

Volunteers from the East Midlands region who give up their time to visit police custody suites gathered in Leicestershire to share practice and to discuss the diverse issues presented by those in detention.

Sean Sullivan from HMIP presented a picture of the current trends nationally while AFTA Thought presented scenarios in response to the experiences of Custody Visitors in the East Midlands Region. The Visitors had given up their Saturday to attend the Advanced Training Day and as ever we found them to be an engaged and engaging group of people to work with. To cap off another lively event we had the opportunity to renew our warm friendships at the venue of Leicstershire Police HQ. Hope to see you again soon!
