Equality Act 2010

Equality Act 2010

As of October 2010 the new Equality Act is law, replacing the Race Relations Act 1976 and the Disability Discrimination Act 1976. Although employer's obligations remain the same there are extensions to the protections afforded across the different strands of diversity ('protected characteristics" as they are referred to under the new Act.)

AFTA Thought are currently reviewing all of our training to ensure that it is mapped against the Equality Act. We continue to offer training that goes beyond the need to value the different needs of those with protected characteristics. AFTA Thought are committed to ensuring that everyone is respected and treated equally in the workplace regardless of their difference or perceived difference.
