Coproduction and Procure Plus
Our forthcoming work includes another opportunity to look at the potential of applying the principles of Coproduction to social care - and our first time working with Procure Plus.
Coproduction challenges us to do away with the traditional roles of professionals and service users, instead seeing everybody as a potential asset in building social capital and rebuild local connections. Wirral Social Services have asked us to share our work in this area to give their adult social care teams the opportunity to think creatively about how they may approach the challenges for social care provision in the upcoming years.
We welcome a new working relationship with Procure Plus - an organisation who engage social housing providers to work collabaratively. The savings that are made as a result of this approach are then reinvested to create value for local communities. AFTA Thought will be demonstrating the impact Procure Plus has on the local labour market - in particular the way that the lives of hard to reach individuals can be transformed by apprenticeships.
